- Swiss system tournament, 5 rounds
- even game, Chinese rules, 7.5 komi
- time setting: 45 minutes absolute time
- players with 4 wins will be promoted to 2 Dan

Notes:
- In round 1, my opponent’s big group is clearly alive but I have embarassingly thought it
was dead and continued to play. I only resigned after realizing late in the game.
- 8th place player is my batchmate from Dan Certification Competition in June 2023 and a Fox 5D.
- My opponents in round 4 and 5 are reportedly Fox 6D.
- In round 5, my opponent, black, wins with a total area score of 187, or wins by 2 and 3/4 stone.
This is similar to a 4.5 or 5.5 point win in Japanese rules.
- Probability: if we assume 50% chance of winning each game, probability of winning at least 4
games is 18.75%. Even if you’re generally stronger and assume a 60% chance of winning each game,
the probability is still just 33.7%
